TBF he is hardly going to say who he was there to watch, I highly doubt he was scouting Chelsea ahead of the game in April.

Yeah that is true and i agree its maybe a bit harsh to judge him when he is clearly low on confidence and only gets 10 mins here and there
Im just not sure that if he was doing what he has done in a Chelsea shirt for say Newcastle......Stoke.....or Soton etc would we be so open to the idea of signing him?

To be fair though, someone who grew up watching rugby and got into football in his 40s probably isn’t the best judge of a player.

Bat is a decent player but a comes across a bit arrogant. A manager who can get him onside could get a lot out of him I reckon. He's looked a bit lazy when I've seen him play recently tbh.

Rossal - The thing is, their level is so much higher. They want/expect everyone to be like Drogba. They all hated Ramires, De Bruyne and also Lukaku to name 3 when they got opportunities.
A year ago we would have been buzzing to have signed him. I still would be.

His goals to minutes ratio suggest he is a very decent striker, and with regular game time I don't see why he couldn't be good for us. Only coming on for the last ten minutes and playing cup games can't be great for a player's confidence or form.

I would take the BAT. I don't really care what Chelsea fans think. He's young enough to improve and I think he'd represent a good signing for a club like us.
